I have usually gotten items (computers, cameras) much quicker than their estimates

Thanks for the well wishes :) UPS says it left ohio around 11pm. Looking forward to getting it.

I'll run some tests on it and take some pics after I reslam it to get that windows media center garbage off it.

Hope you get yours soon too!

Sonofabitch!

I just got it. The moron on the phone told me the NVidia card that I paid $50 extra for was dual DVI. It's not. Its DVI and VGA. Well thats goddamned worthless to me. I have 3 lcds im trying to hook up to this thing and I dont want a card with VGA.

On the plus side, this thing is whisper quiet. Literally. Its on top of my desk right now and I cant even hear the fan.

They also loaded XP pro, which I didn't pay for. It would be all well and good except they didn't give me a licence sticker for it, so its worthless since I want to reslam and get rid of all of the dell crap.

Not only did they put in the wrong operating system. They also gave me the wrong video card and shorted me a gigabyte of ram.

Sonofabitch.

Wonder how mine's gonna turn out.

EDIT: Remember, Windows sometimes shows 3GB of RAM, even if there's 4GB. Not sure if that's the case with pro, though.

Didn't know that about windows. I have 3.25gb showing up right now according to my computer. Bios says that I have 4. Is that a windows thing?

Quick benchmarks with the 3.25gb ram and 5000+ processor

Sisoft Sandra - CPU
18878 Dreystone
15975 Whetstone

49018 Integer
53312 Floating Point

Ram
6354 ALU
6304 FPU.

The case is neat and organized inside. My website is down right now so I can't show pics. The computer is really quiet and seems to have some sort of active fan management where the system dials the fans down when they aren't needed. One free PCI slot, and im ripping out my modem to give me a second one/tv tuner.

Just installed and played rome total war. I dont even have audio hooked up and I didnt even notice any fans on this thing. Pity they didnt give me the proper video card. The ATI one is passively cooled. Anything else I buy in stores is going to have a loud active fan.

In regards to the ram, if I elminate my pagefile, it should fix the problem. which it doesn't.

Very frustrating. Feel like I wasted money. How much is XP x64 edition?
