Thanks...

It says two PCI Express? slots (1x8 lane and 1x1 lane);
two PCI-X® slots (64-bit/133MHz, 3.3v); one PCI slot (32-bit/33MHz)

I'm not sure it this is suitable for a desktop gaming rig. Can I install a PCI E16X card in this rig?

Also, is this a good buy?

Um, if you're looking for a gaming rig....this isn't it. This has things like PCI-X that you'd never need outside of a server situation.

You need to be looking in the Dell Home section, homeboy.

If you are looking for a game server. This is a great option. Got a small business? Perfect.

For a gaming rig. Negative.

I click customize on the 830 and the price jumps to 1456?

But I click on customize on the SC430 and the $699 price includes the sbs 2003 std OS. That is a steal.

If your looking for something for gaming, head off to outlet.dell.com. I just bought a new system pretty loaded for less than $1000 with a 19" flat screen!
