Dell Roadmap and release dates...

I'm excited that the Streak is coming to TMobile, but damn, thats a while off for anything else out of Dell...

Im getting a Streak if it works worth a damn... I could replace my phone & iPad with it...

it's not that long... this summer for streak, fall for looking glass. I'm very interested in both. The streak fits better as a media consumption device, but looking glass is better suited for stuff like interactive magazines and reading. A better fit for me physically as well.

But it'll be interesting how well these pan out vs the iPad in terms of usability and price.

so a product they barely have a rendered image for is out in a few months? Right, also along the bottom it says Q4 FY11 "dec '11" This tablet won't be out this year. I'm talking about the LG PRO, 800x600 on the regular one is a fricking joke resolution wise.

I doubt it's a mistake because there's Aug '09 & Dec '10 on the bottom too. With only computer generated mock ups, these products aren't close to coming out.

i think they realize that tablets are fucking useless and there is no need to rush one out

The streak should be out this summer or else it will be obsolete by summer next year.

That looks like they are a year behind the slew of Android tablets and devices coming out in 2010. Ouch. I hope the year numbers are off by 1, otherwise Dell dropped the ball.

Makes total sense, spend millions in R&D to put one out a year plus after the competition.

ok, I'll give you the LG pro. they are giving us early 2011 on the roadmap, but who knows how manufacturing will go.

but since you didn't say that before, I was talking about the Streak/Looking Glass since they are the first tablets on the map. The Streak = Dell Mini 5. It is not just "a rendered image." It's real. The only question left is "will it be overpriced" as I can't see them succeeding with it anywhere over $300 honestly, off contract.
