Dell Refurbished/Outlet sales - nvidia 6800 NU/GTO fiasco

I thought I was getting some good deals on Dell's outlet with a few 8400 that go for cheap (700-850) with an nvidia 6800 GTO, i bought them, only to find out they are normal 6800 cards. now i been trying to yell at dell for the past 2 days trying to either give me a GTO card as exchange or returned. the return department wants me to talk to techies, the techies dept wants me to return

im just fed up, i actually told them, either let me return without paying for shipping or give me a 6800 GTO, they wont do either. so just a word of warning on their refurb site, if it says 6800 GTO, call a tech up to verify. their inventory says 256MB nvidia 6800 GTO no matter what card it is! 🙁

or if you have time, order it, save the confirmation email and tell them to ship you a replacement GTO... if you dont mind the trouble
 
GTO are GT oem version. they have less pipes open but clcoked at GT speed (or 100mhz slower i think). still, thinking your getting GTO only to get normal vanilla 6800 plain sucks and dealing with the imcompetent dell reps sucks even more

exactly. i just got this whole thing done after a 120 minute phone call. i should never have been greedy and ordered 3 systems. 🙁 now to await UPS and pick my crappy machines up (somebody smack me if i post here saying i took out the 6800NU's and ebay'ed them... actually being the incompetent freaks they are at dell i'd be surprised if i swtiched all my 6800 to a suckier card or just rip them out and they would find out)

im not one to cause controversy but damn! those freaking outsourced indian reps are USELESS! I asked to talk to the manager and the manager cant even give me credit! forwarded me back to the some southern-accent chick who finally was nice enough to forego the 14-day refurbished return rule (because yesterday was the 14th day and i didnt get the chance to talk to somebody in American soil so nobody could help me)

tried to earn some money by ebay'ing those 6800GTO's, i end up disappointed and losing 4 hours of work time on hold with dell reps... 🙁 lesson of the day: never buy more graphic cards than you need...
