Did a flash W7P install on a company M4600, latest drivers up to date windows.

IE keep crashing, we're talking about open IE on any website and it crash in a few min. Chrome seen to be fine.

And other issue is bios update, currently it is at version A8, no matter what version I tried it fail right away.

Any idea?

Thanks.

If you have anything extra added to pc then remove it.
re-image pc then it should work flawlessly. Then do complete windows update on it then once it finds no more updates then go ahead and reinstall any other hardware such as printers/USB blue tooth/USB speakers and video drivers.

Doing it this way you are covering your base early in the game of building the pc back to OEM spec.

This way if something happens at the OEM level build then you know something is wrong and you will have a better time to drill down to the actual error.

If your pc is already OEM with nothing extra added or replaced then confirm on the INTERNET EXPLORER ADDON and disable all features.

Also uninstall all the extra crap that DELL installs for new systems so that it is just pure WINDOWS OS and the basics such as video driver and sound driver and nic driver.

Reboot after you make changes and attempt Internet Explorer again.

Is your OS 32bit or 64bit?

Swap the power adapter with a different one, Swap the RAM with a different set. Test and see if the problem persists...

IE keep crashing

So, you can get it online for Windows updates, but not browsing with IE?
Does another browser work?
What version of IE is on the machine now?

tried ram and HD, install from Win 7 Disk still unstable and unable to update bios.

Finally spoke with a Dell repair guy and he told me it is a known problem for M4600, unable to update bios = bad MB.

Thanks guys
