Dell Poweredge server and IBM SAS disk, compatible?

Hi folks, I have a Dell Poweredge SC1430 server, with a Dell SAS 5/iR Adapter, but the hard disk Im using now is a SATA 250Gb.
I would like to buy a SAS disk to improve performance and reliability.

Would this disk work?

I live in Argentina and Dell disks are really expensive.
I would also like to know if there is a compatibility issue with 15000RPM SAS drives.

I updated the Dell SAS 5/iR Adapter driver, just in case.

May i just clone my actual 250Gb disk into the 300Gb one i want to buy? Or do I have to reinstall from zero?

Thank you very much!

Any 3.5in SAS hard drive should work in there. 10k or 15k RPM shouldn't matter. Cloning should work as well, just as long as the 250gb SATA is attached to the SAS controller now, and not the internal SATA connectors. If not, you will have to do a fresh install.
