Mine hasn't shipped either, still in production, not even any substeps, and I ordered 9/4/2003 12:59:40 PM. Should be soon...

Mine is in "testing" now, and Chandler from the Dell forums kindly upgraded my shipping for free when I asked if it would ship on time :) No complaints there!

You guys make me sad :( ... I'm going to cry ... anyone have Michael Dell's direct line or cell phone number?

I have been fighting with Dell for the past several days regarding my order getting absolutely nowhere ... sometimes I make headway, then the next person I speak to retracts what the previous person says ... I am still waiting on this infamous director of business marketing to call me ... I just cannot believe that they are screwing up this freaking bad ... honestly, this is ridiculous ...

I am about half tempted to cancel my order and just forget about my 3.2 GHz dreams and just live in 1.4 GHz land where I have been living forever it seems but right now it is the principal of the matter and the fact that they already have my money for the servers ...

You would think that would mean something in this day and age ...

Just as expected, Dell sent me the notice that they can't ship the system on time. Estimated to ship now on 9/23/2003. I guess the best I can do is bug them to upgrade my shipping to overnight.

I just got my delay email. Dell never ships my stuff on time. They are 2 for 2 on not making their deadlines with me. If it wasn't the deal of a lifetime I would cancel it.

Will this mess up the rebate or?

Keep up the faith fellas (and ladies too :D).

I ordered my 3.2 Thursday night, then called and had them add the free mouse/KB on Friday afternoon, which they then had to reorder due to charging me more since the sale was over. I received all three confirmation emails within a few minutes from placing the "order(s)". Long story short, my order status has shown built since Tuesday a.m. and in transit to shipping company. This morning I check and it shows en route and gives a shipping number (FedEX), so I click it, and lo and behold, it shows delivered this a.m. Luckily my wife was home since the delivery guy said he wouldn't have left it even though I have the agreement saying they can.

Just gotta believe is all! :)

I no longer believe ... I have completely lost faith in Dell ... they can rot in hell ... I have spent almost my entire work day on the phone with this or that supervisor and gotten NO WHERE ... no one wants to accept it as their problem ... Sales blames Dell Financial ... Dell Financial blames Dell Accounts ... Dell Accounts sends me back to sales ... sales sends me to customer service ... customer service doesn't speak english ... call back to sales ... starts all over again ... I would love a print out of my notes on this ...

"Customer is a freak ..."

LOL

Damn, that is really weird that you got yours even though we both placed the order at the same time. 1001 curses.

Got mine in the mail today. Dell sent it 2nd day FedEx.

The system is as the FAQ described. I got the 3.2, keyboard, mouse, configed with the no OS (Linux) option. About $480 shipped, w/CA tax after $100 rebate and Small Biz 10% off coupon.

Everything's there, the AGP slot, 2 serial ATAs, PCI video, 3.2 GHz processor with the heatpipe heatsink. The system is very quiet. No OS is installed on the hard drive, but it comes with Red Hat 9 install CD and installation book. (I thought you had to pay for Red Hat support contract to get that!)

The RAM is a stick of 128MB DDR400 w/ECC. (Like everyone here, I configured the system with 333.)

Any other questions, PM me.

Got mine today also. 3.2Ghz with ddr400 memory! Quiet as heck! I did not get the xtra 10% off or the Linux install. I did not realize until it was too late that there was no xtra charge for the Linux option. I just figured that I allready have RedHat 9, so why bother. It would be nice to have the actual RedHat disks. Still very happy! Keep the faith boys!

Just received my 3.2GHz system, but noticed the heatpipe is installed different from the picture shown here. The heat pipes were rubbing against the capacitors next to the socket. Anyone else has the same problem? Will post a picture shortly.

Mine looks just like that picture there. Anyone else get or notice the FRONT USB 2.0 (x2) and speaker/headphone jack? It is installed and cabled up, but the plastic casing does not have any cutouts so that they can be used. Might be time to bust out the handy dremel. Installing XP Pro as I type. I can verify the 400MHz RAM, SATA, sound, 6 rear USB too.

Looks like the hs was installed backwards?

I see you have the memory slots full did you order extra ram or install yourself?
