Dell poweredge 1400 server

in this server it has intel PIII 866mhz (133mhz) 256kb processor
the server is capable of doing two processor
I was wondering do i need the addititon cpu from dell or any intel PIII on the street would do?

Any P3 should do the trick.

In the past, to add a second CPU to most servers, you needed the VRM that comes in the CPU upgrade kit from the company. This usually made the upgrade quite expensive.

Now days, you don't need a VRM, so there really isn't anything holding you back in adding the cpu yourself.
