<< Good point but LCD's will very quickly become a thing of the past relatively soon.. Thin CRT's will be the future.. next years laptops will feature thin CRT's over LCD's and desktop monitors with thin CRT's will appear soon after.. LCD's will be a painful memory of the past because hardcore gamers could never really use em, at least not most of them :( >>

Hmm...I didn't even know anything about Thin CRT's. I suppose this is what you are refering to:
ThinCRT

I want to order this monitor, but i'm confused. I checked the product specs and it doesn't mention FD trinitron like most people think. The P992 is an FD trinitron and cost about 100 more. So using the 20% + 10% off deal at dell.com, which would be the best 19 inch monitor that won't break the bank.

I don't know how many times we have to say this but the P991 is in fact an FD Trinitron.

Fine, don't believe us, spend $100 more on the P992 which as far as I can tell has a black case instead of off white/beige.

Is that what you wanted to hear?

LG ELECTRONICS StudioWorks 995E: If you get one for $200 or less, delivered, it's a good deal. I'm writing this on one. Excellent color, very good resolution (better than the 0.26mm spec would lead you to believe). My roomate also has one. I love FD Trinitrons, but the 995E is a fine choice among "curved screens".

I am writing on one also. It was great for a bout 6 months, then one day I turned it on and most of the screen had fuzzy fonts. not enough to make it unusable mind you but enough to make small text almost impoossible to read. once I get a new trinitron , I'm RMA'ing this one.

I just got my 19inch P991 last week. I notice that on the top left corner of the screen, there is very very slight blue tint. Everywhere else is fine. It is most noticable on a white background. For example, if i drag around something with a white background u can notice the slight blue tint on the upper left corner but it is pure white everywhere else. There is nothing next to the monitor that will cause interference. Any thoughts?

update: I just notice that when i tilt the monitor extremly upward, the blue tint gets significantly more noticeable.. It also gets less noticable when i tilt it monitor down. This is so strange.
