Dell P1110

I have the chance to purchase one of these 21" behemoths for a very good price... how do they rate as 21" monitors go??

I have one I got as a refurb. The picture is amazing. I also have a 21" Sony G520 and a 21 Nokia 445pro. All trinitrons. The Dell is much better than the Nokia and more colorful than the Sony.

I highly recommend the Dell.

If it's a used or refurb be sure and check the screen for scratches with A WHITE background. Then you can see them if there are any. You can't see scratches as well if there is a game running etc.

I paid $190 for the Dell at a computer show where the vendor was selling refurbs.

Good luck...

Dunno about the dual input. Never even looked at it. The Sony has it too.

If you don't want the monitor I might be interested in it. What's the price? I live in So. FL.

I have one of these as my main monitor and it's great!
It's a boat anchor but it gives an awesome picture with high refresh rates.
I run mine at 1600x1200 and I couldn't be happier with it.
It's a really good monitor and has a sharp picture with very vibrant colors.
The dual input works by having two spots to attach a monitor cable.
You have a selector switch on the front of the monitor to switch from
monitor 1 to monitor 2. I don't think there's any difference in going from
one to the other.

That's $199 Canadian, an excellent price.
Like what, $140 US?

It would really help if you could examine the monitor before you buy. And pick it up. If you don't like it you're stuck with the shipping to get it back usually. The monitors are big and cost around $50-$70 to ship in the USA.

I see they will deliver locally for $35 and want to tack on another $20 for handling.

Yeah, I'm going to try to examine the monitor upon pickup (I will bring my laptop and hook it up) shipping it would be a pain, even worse if it was because it was scratched! Thanks for your help.

Don't forget to look at a white background.

Like a blank notepad or word page. Full screen if possible. These likely came off lease at from a graphics firm or something.
Maybe a boiler room operation.

Dell hasn't offered that model for a couple years or more. The newest model is the P1130. Both were made for Dell by Sony.
