I have a dell optiplex gx260 mini-tower 1.8 Ghz (with integrated video card), and the GEForce 8400 GS is just not working. I see the same blank screen after BIOS screen is done, and I am unable to get into the SAFE mode with the card in place.
- I disabled the driver for the integrated card
- My BIOS is the latest A09
- I am unable to boot/SAFE boot with the card in the PCI slot
and as a result I am unable to get the drivers for this sucker installed
Running Win XP SP3, and the PSU for my desktop (it seems) is 250W
Any advice?. I am really upset D:, as I spent about 45$ just to get my PC doing some decent graphics..
Your help is appreciated!.. Thanks.
BTW, I forgot to add.. I even tried booting without the card, and installing the driver pack from NVidia's website, and that fails, because "the requisite hardware is missing"
