Monitor shopping like crazy, got to get rid of my 19" CRT

At work I had a 17", WAY too small, and now I have a 19" 1900FP that is just right.

For my home, I don't think an 18" will cut it. It should because viewable screen will be similar to my CRT, but would like to keep on "moving on up".

Question: Which would be better: Two 1860NX's or a single 20 inch 2100FP. The cost is about the same.......

Do they have different E-mails for different people? How do I get the extra 5% ?

I don't think the 15% applies to the 1800FP.

Does anyone have anything to say about ghosting on the NEC?

Both are 30ms, and a lot of people say they don't notice ghosting on the 1800FP.
But the 1800FP is $50 more, does not work with 15% off, and is backordered for 3+ weeks.

Remember the 1800FP has cleartext problem, so that's what's pushing me away from dell. I wouldn't mind the 1900fp though 🙂

I currently use the NEC 1860NX. I must say that I almost have no problems with ghosting. I have only experienced ghosting once. I was playing unreal 2 and I had like three monsters attacking me really close and I fired a rocket powered grenade at them and the explosion caused some ghosting. Unreal has played fine other than that. I play other games such as Raven Shield, Battlefield, and Rise of Nations with no noticeable ghosting.

This monitor is nice, I replaced an A.G. Nec FE950+ with it. I must say that I really like this Flat Panel. I wish it was a little brighter. Great deal at 396. You can't go wrong for that price. Any one have any more questions just ask. I picked mine up from Dell Home for 450ish shipped about 2 months ago. Good deal here.

one of the deal breakers is that it doens't include a DVI cable though (and tax kills it a lil too).
have you been using digital or analog?

yes, please explain no noticeable ghosting.
does that mean absolutely no ghosting? like you can't notice it at all?
or just slight ghosting that you do notice just a little bit.

I'm interested in hearing more feedback on this monitor as well. I only have a 10% off coupon, so $419 is the cheapest I can get which is not bad.

If anyone has a 15% they can spare (PM me) it would only be sweeter.

I have one of these at home and at work, and I'm a big fan of NEC/Mitsubishi Monitors.
The text is really crisp with the DVI, and colors are well defined and rich.

I watch streaming CNBC & Bloomberg at work with this thing everyday and I notice no ghosting at all.

The only downside is, you have to dish out $15 for the DVI cable since it is not included.

P.S. - I paid $500 for this monitor 2 months ago!! 🙁
