Everyone has been complaining about high res video playback skipping on the mini. I did some benchmarking and used DCP Latency Checker on my unit. This is what I got.

Should I contect Dell about this. Several others in the dell mini forum report the exact same results. And not matter what you disable, it never gets solved.

I know for a fact that the MSI P45 Platinum has a problem with this, and MSI put out a beta bios that fixes this. Other mobo's manufacturers have had this problem too that have put out bios's to to fix this.

Is this something I should ask Dell about?

Doesn't the mini have an ancient intel chipset without HD decoding assistance and a relatively slow single-core atom CPU? HD skipping might be due to them not latency.

I would not call it ancient, and when you look at the benchmarks for this chip, it is pretty decent. When set up right, you will be surprised at what this little machine will do. After finding it is the NIC card, and Wi-fi, and web cam that is causing 97% of the latency problem, playback is pretty darn good, and I gained over 200 mb/s on the memory read benchmark, and dropped over 7ns off my memory latency benchmark.
