Why is everyone seem to be after dell lcd deals? Wouldn't the LCD's at newegg be similar screens or even better. I just don't know what all the fuss is about dells lcd's and the same breath their machines suck it.

I know why their comps suck , but why are their monitors so great?

BTW<I own a dell M991 CRT 19in.
 
Performance/Price, espcially when there is a 35% discount with free shipping And great LCD too.. For example, the 2405 24" Wide Screen is a killer at sub $1,000!
 
It's because of Price And the fact there not effected by slow "gaming" Intel CPU's.

Most people avoid dell because there PC's are donkies when it comes to gaming and AMD systems blow them away.
 
The 2005fpw panel I have is the same one Apple sells for a thousand dollars and I only paid 500 for mine. Plus, anandtech reviewed the dell version as being overall the better one. Can't beat that.

(The 2005fpw is absolutely superb btw)
 
I just ordered a Dell 2405FPW for $929CDN (~780US). It is based on the same panel that is in the Samsung 24" LCDs that sell fer $2000CDN. It's a steal. They're on sale at dell.ca right now for just over $1000CDN. I got mine so cheap through a corporate discount at my work. 🙂
