I purchased a spare Dell Laptop power supply for my Dell 2650 direct from a guy who sells lots of them on ebay. It was very inexpensive compared to buying one direct from Dell. It is definitely a Dell branded power supply, and appeared to be brand new. I received it promptly and it works perfectly. It is powering my laptop as I type this. The great thing is he seems to have a lot of different ones for all different models of dell laptops - and IBM, Toshiba, HP, Compaq too, per his auction listings anyway. He told me he takes paypal and money orders, I paid via paypal. I believe my 2650 power supply sells for $39 plus shipping at dell, minus a discount coupon of course
. He sells them for various laptops for $25-$45. Drop him an email and find out what one for your laptop sells for.
My dell battery has about an hour+ life, so now we have a power cord in the living room AND the bedroom!
Another note for the sceptical: I don't know him, I've never met him, I have not communicated with him since my purchase, and I have no under the table deal going with him. (I better email him to let him know I posted this though, because it is a great deal so he will probably get a lot of inquiries).
