Dell kills 17" LCD dream. All orders made over the weekend with 17" LCD cancelled.

Although I am dissapointed, Dell has come thru on numerous other occasions, my only grip e is that my system went into "production and was reportedly shipped when I got the phone call....

they did the same thing on my order without my knowledge. I am contacting them and will file a formal compliant to state attorney general and ftc. they have to honor their advertised price.

I'm fairly happy about how this deal turned out...made $50.00 for a few minutes' work :Q

I haven't decided what I'll be doing, but I plan on contacting Dell if they don't contact me tomorrow and then taking it from there. I was actually buying this system for a client, so there goes a week. Moan on ...
 
I'm submitting your email to the state attorney general as evidence that you knew it was a pricing error when you ordered. Therefore you are entitled to nothing. Don't bother editing the post I got a screen capture.

so what, if you go to a store and find a mis-priced item, the store has to honor the price.

hmm...now to wait for the next person who wants to start a class action lawsuit against michael dell and co. I laugh at all the peeps who egayed product that they don't have...too bad they'll probably just cancel their auctions 🙁

Seriously though, Dell should really handle these situations more professionally. Otherwise, it will keep happening. Maybe some complaints through the BBB, FTC, and/or Attorney General will fix Dell's policies or system.

Well, as you can tell from my huge post count, I'm a lurker. I like reading your posts and many times as I read replies to them I hear Jack in the background speaking that line about ... You can't handle the truth. 😀
 
oh great. the "Son Of Best Buy GeForce" deal. Guess that means I'm going to have to wade through hundreds of whiney posts in the next week declaring Michael Dell as great a threat ot the American way of life as Osama.

sigh. i still say Best Buy handled that one with class.
