Dell Inspiron 600m - Keyboard Problem

I have a Dell Inspiron 600m laptop that's exhibiting strange keyboard behavior. Certain keys don't work at all, while other keys do things that they're not supposed to do (for example, pressing the H key returns the date and time, pressing the Backspace key returns the letter Y, etc.).

I've already removed the keyboard and tried to clean it. I reattached the keyboard, but the problem's still there. What's the next step? The laptop is two years old, so it's out of warranty.

Might want to check to see if one of the functions on the keyboard is turned on. For example there is common functions on laptops to turn up the brightness and contrast on the lcd, as well as other functions to turn down the volume. Just make sure that the fn key is not pressed and that the ALT key isnt sticking.

What travisray said, but, most likely, it's a bad keyboard. Bad keyboards will do stuff like this all the time. . .keys wont do what they're suppose to do, pressing any key could do a multitude of things. Keyboards are pretty cheap and easy to replace, I'd suggest going that route even if it is out of warranty.
