Read the tech specs and the direct quote above:

This is a MOBILE processor, not a desktop.

The "unfortunately yes" link is just a general article on Intel chips used in laptops. It has nothing to do with the Dell 5150.

Still, it will be power-hungry and hot. But it will have Speedstep and other power features, including lower heat than a desktop CPU.

Granted, 8 lbs. is heavy for a notebook, but for a portable gaming rig, it's a lot lighter than my desktop with the steel Antec 1040SX case! Plus the monitor. And keyboard... I use my 8 lbs. Dell 8100 all the time since I got it (with a case on wheels like the airline pilots use). I'd jump on this deal if I wasn't too busy to set up a new laptop and E-bay the old one. I love my kids, but they certainly put an end to my PC-holic days.

When I want to go lighter than 8 lbs and I don't need 3D gaming capability, I just use my Sony PDA and folding keyboard. It pretty much does everything work-related that I need, except for graphics. And the screen is a little small for web browsing, but hey, it's very portable. Don't even need a bag to carry it all. With T-mobile hotspots, Starbucks might become my new office. :p

With external firewire drive enclosures so cheap, I'm starting to think that I don't even need a desktop anymore. Shhh... Don't tell my wife I said that!

;)

There is another coupon $50 off $999 Inspiron from email.

It will stack with $200 Instant Saving & 10% CPN.. Not sure about $25 off $800 since I can't find that coupon to test it.
