picked up a Dell Inspiron 3455 from delloutlet for $364 shipped.

a8-7410
8gb ram (single 8gb stick, one slot open, takes ddr3L sodimms)
1tb 2.5" drive
wireless, Bluetooth, etc.
23.8" 1920x1080 IPS touch screen
windows 8.1

for the price, I think its a really good value. It is being used by my kids for homework and games like Sims.

I took out the 1tb drive and put in a SSD even before turning it on. makes little to no noise when surfing the web, playing games like SIMS no noticeable noise. they really don't play many other games.

built in speakers are good, no popping or any other noise when no sound is being played. they are also good enough to be heard two rooms away when the volume is turned up all the way, no distortion at its loudest either.

I do plan on adding a second 8gb ram stick down the road, though for what it gets used for 8gb is plenty and have yet to experience running low on memory on it.

I know there are faster all in ones out there, but at a price of $364 I don't think anything is close in value.

I think $364 is reasonable for that system, up here in Canada we're getting gouged to hell for those systems with even worse specs, $700-800+ for an AMD E1 system or A6 6310 or Pentium N3700 crap. For $400 there's those dual core Celeron 1037U's.

I know its not much of a review. I have used a N3700 system as well as an E1 system (person paid $600 for an HP desktop with an E1 cpu in it). granted I put an SSD in my system, but the a8-7410 was leaps and bounds ahead of them

You can get a very nice machine for home use for not much. Machines like this are perfect for most families. Putting the SSD in there makes all the difference.
