it doesn't matter how basic the features are, where are you going to find a brand new, non-refurb laptop for $399?

most likely these will be the specs:
Intel® Celeron® M Processor 370 (1.50 GHz/1MB Cache/400MHz FSB)
14.1" Display
40GB HD
256MB DDR
24x CD-R/RW
Windows XP Home

this deal hasn't started yet, it's set for 11/23, prob 6AM.

updated dell link

From the other thread:

I'm getting the basic system with internal wireless, a printer, and 2 year on-site warranty. Total = 578 + 24 "handling" + 40 tax (eesh) - 100 MIR - 78 MIR on warranty = 464. Eh?

EDIT: That's $642 out of pocket, FYI.

Any idea how good/bad the video is on these laptops? Will they be able to play WoW?

For that matter will any of the BF laptops play it?

this laptop is about the most basic you can get. if you really wanted to, i'm sure you can play wow though with minimal video quality. but i'd advise against it.

I jumped on this also, around 660 with 178 in rebates, makes it 480 AR, with a 2 year on-site warranty, the free wireless and the printer. For my first laptop I think this will be fine. I am not a gamer so the display will be adequate.

I will eBay the ink carts and the power supply for 25-30 bucks separately on eBay. No one wants the printer and cartridges because of the shipping, but they will buy the Dell ink carts and the power supply. I did this already in May when I got this same printer for free. Crazy, huh?, but it knocks a little more off the purchase price for the cheapskates like me.

Please add "After Rebate" to your description. Had my hopes up that I wouldn't have to be waiting in line at Walmart for their $400 laptop. :(

Thanks for the reply. This would be mostly for restocking auctions while watching TV, not actual "playing" playing. I'd be happy long as it runs. :D
