Although VRP is using the spammer Black Dude avatar :D , he's not breaking any rules because the code is posted on Dell's website.

i seriously cannot tell if these are good deals anymore. i think dell just jacks up the price, and because no one is tracking how much the exact same notebook costs from week to week they end up costing more during these supposedly great deals, sometimes.

I think Dell jacks it up like hundred something haha. I remember the from their last $750 off $1499 deal, I configured a i9300 that was around $2,000. Then after the deal was dead, I configured the i9300 again, and it came out to $1,800+. I don't fully remember if the configurations were exact, but close enough.

Dell does jack up the price, and these are typically done to clear out inventory.

The surprise deal on SB this morning was better. For example, for $752, you could have gotten this:

Dell 700M
Pentium M 1.8GHz
512MB DDR RAM
80GB Hard Drive
8X DL DVDRW
8 Cell Battery
Intel Wireless A/B/G

Yeah, I had a system like that sitting in my cart waiting for my sister's approval before the coupon expired. :( Now I'm planning on getting a 700M from Dell Home this morning, and it's not looking like quite as good a deal.

Anyone have an idea if there is a qty limit on these coupons? Think Dell will jack up the price from yesterday even?

Oh BOOO, they jacked up the price 110$, took away free 8x DVD Burner, and took away free 512mb memory upgrade on most of these systems. That's price tracked from last night, and the same deals that passed for the lucky thousand or so that got in yesterday, not so hot any more.

yeah -- it would be awesome if they didnt shove the 3yr warranty down your throat though.

i'll probably go with the 500 off 1399 coupon that is live until tomorrow morning instead. I can get a laptop configured how i want it - cheaper than the preconfigured system they force you to use even after the 750 off.

They definitely jacked up the price a couple hundred. Last time I configured a 700m for $800. This time, with the same config, it's over $1000.

You're also forced a 3-yr warranty, but that's a good thing, I think.

Dammit -- went for it anyways. Decided the 3yr warranty was probably a good thing in the end, and i didnt want to wait around for the next deal to show up.
