Bought one to see if it fit my needs.
I haven't put my thoughts into some professional review, but here are some quick hitters.
Heavy.
Power brick is unwieldy
Might be a tad unstable until updates are installed. I trying to see if it still BSODs
Minor backlight bleed.
I realize that I don't like conventional laptop interfacing and want a touchscreen.
But something does make me want to keep it...or at least I'll take serious in future laptop purchases...the sound....
The one really good thing is the speakers. I don't know if they are high end, but they are exceptionally clear in conveying the treble range. Meaning, they are quite effective if you're into "studying" the musical lines. So if something has a background percussion element, which is common in a variety of songs, it comes off clear. The sound also is rather..."natural" and songs have a little more bite, and "physical clarity" with speakers of G5. NSync's I Want You Back just sounds "better" in its opening, for example.
The piano in Glenn Gloud's K.333 performance's last movement, comes off as more "precise".
The inflections of the violin in Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante also has that feature.
Even the 100 dollar Audio Advisor headphones never gave me such a clear percussion line. I use songs I have listened to very frequency.
