I have the following machine and want to upgrade the ram:
Dell E521
AMD X2 5600+
2GB PC2-5300 667Mhz - 4 x 512mb
1TB SATA
BFG 7600GT 256MB PCI-E
2X DVD RW DL drives
305wt PSU - STILL HOLDING STRONG!
I want to upgrade to 4gb ram so I can install and run Vista Ultimate efficently. Now, if I go to 800mhz DDR2 PC2-6400, I run the risk of finding ram that goes past 1.8v. I am not sure if the motherboard will support ram past 1.8v as I cannot find the information anywhere.
Should I continue to use DDR2 PC2-5300 ram or jump to the DDR2 PC2-6400 ram? If so, what do you guys suggest I use? I won't be overclocking but will be gaming - BF2, DOD Source, etc. Please let me know what you think.
