just bought 2 new 9300 laptops for my users and neither of them came with OS cd. instead, I get this lame blue thing that says if you ever run into problems, use the xp system restore feature or dell restore?!! WTF! :|

I think it's lame that they don't include the OS CD's anymore..

about to buy some servers, they better include the install CDs...

I believe it has to be within 30 days or ordering the original computer. Basically, I said I need a pressed OS cd for my purchase.

So far, I have hopes that the Dell Rep that emailed me about it will follow thru. Save yourself time/effort and just use email as I am batting 0.0000 using Dell Chat and Phone, not b/c of policy just because they have been incompetent thus far.

Although you are only allowed to burn once, (from what I have read) you can zip up the software that runs once and deletes itself for making that 1 backup. I didn't know about it until after the fact. I burned my backup to a CDRW figuring that it lasts longer than a CDR.
