Want to buy a memory for my new DELL Dimesion 4300.

Can it support 512MB on one slot?

Or I have to buy 2 256MB on two slot.

What type is also compatible?
There is 512MB($59) and 256MB($29) in crucial technology for sale.
I am really a dummy at this,🙂

Is the 512MB RAM a good deal (58 dollars) or still expensive(wait for some days for it to drop down)?

Well I tried to look up your computer and only found the 4100 model It supports a max of 512Meg of ram. I would think that you can handle the 512.
