About that time I thougth I was getting a deal with a Dim 3000 celeron and 15" lcd for $399. I wish I'd have waited, because Its still in the box waiting to go to my mother in law next month.

Yeah, a link would be good. I see a 3000 for $350 that has a 2.4 celeron (not a 2.8 P4), a 40 gig hard drive (not 80), a 48x CD drive (not CDRW), a 17" CRT (not LCD), a free printer, and no free shipping.

Edit: I can get it down to $550 as configured by the OP, the only difference is that is with a 17" refurb LCD. Not near the deal as $350.

Edit Edit: I found it, you have to go to dell small business, click on the link for free flat panel, then choose to configure the $350 deal. The $350 price is after $100 MIR.

Edit Edit Edit: Neovan beet me to it...

Go to dell.com
click on small business
scroll down and click on "outrageous deals"
click on desktop systems
should be the first selection on your left.

If I read this correctly you can do the following...

upgrade to 512mb of ram
take the upgrade to the 80gb hd
upgrade to the 3ghz p4 (to get on the 800fsb and get ht)
Take the free 2 year contract.
Get the free flat panel

all for around $648

There is a $70 instant off, a $100 rebate on the system, and a $50 rebate making the support contract free.

bottom line is around $428

IMHO this is white flame burning hot.

Not to mention a free printer as well...smoking!

Kinda makes me wish I hadn't spent $1400 buying an IBM XT w/ Amber monitor back in 1986 :|

We can't kick ourselves in the present because we got a good in the past. 😀

My first PC ever was a 4.77 8088 w/ monochrome monitor 🙂 Luckily, I didn't pay for it 🙂

so tempting because i think i could sell it locally for the price I pay before rebates, then make $150 on them.....

Could I buy 5 of these and still use the 100 dollar mail in and the mail in for the warranty. Cause it says limit one rebate per promotion, so would I be alright to send in all 5 for this, both the 100 mail in and the $49 2 year mail in?

anyone else think that dell home has been getting the shortend of the stick for these lowend system deals? is it because they give out so many concession coupons due to their service getting worse 😉

Great deal especially with the free LCD and Printer. Might get one for a neighbor.

Keep in mind that the 3000 has onboard video and only PCI slots so forget about AGP or PCI-E video cards.

It IS going to be great for my aunt!

..and to think the script kiddies are wasting their time on the outlet site, when even more smoking deals are available on NEW Dells....I should know, I just wrote a script!

Got in on this deal early this morning...I've been looking for a hot deal on a Dell for a while but always miss out...not this time 😀

I don't think anyone with scripts is checking for Dimension 3000s. If they are, what a waste.
