Dell D800 Boot Problem

Ok this is wierd. For some reason I cannot boot up my dad's Dell Latitude D800 unless it is connected to a docking station or power supply. Unfortunately I have neither in my possesion right now. Anyway past this? I looked in the BIOS. Please help!

BTW: The OS is Win2K.
 
I recall some services that are required to be enabled for proper bootup and having to do with docking stations and battery support.
maybe look it up on blackvipers site.
