i have a dell cpia366 laptop. one or twice a week while using it, the screen will turn a bright white. while i am using
it, the bright white will start at the bottom of the screen and and go to the top. the screen is then a solid white
bright screen.then i put it on hibernate and restart it and it is back to normal. any help appreciated.......
 
You can try doing a reset of the machine.

Press FN + X when the machining is booting.
(it does a complete factory reset of the machine bios)

If that doesn't help, try reseating the RAM module.
(remove the battery and AC when doing so)

If none of the above helps, its more than likely the motherboard going bad.
 
thanks for the info. did both of them. will not know for a couple of days. also ordered new memory. will keep
