Right now on the dell site, The Dimension XPS (Their gaming rig) has a 10% off instantly plus a few free upgrades and free shipping. Then look around for a 20% off Dimension desktop over $1799 (xpbargains.com -- if I cant post this site then tell me and I will edit post) .... not to mention the free upgrades to a 250 gig HD and a 16x dual layer burner.

Coupon expires tommorow.

Sounds like a great deal. Can you post your configuration. If I am reading your post correctly, you paid about $1K for the system w/o LCD?

I don't know anyone who would spend over 2k for a PC now days. But I guess if you want the latest gadget for gaming and doesn't concern about price then this is the rig to go for. I don't know if it's good idea to spend over 2k on a first generation PCI-express motherboard though. I would wait until plenty of pci-express device is avilable and the price is competitive for them.

i buitl a better computer for $1000.

2x 160gb seagate satas, a64 3200, antec plus1080, nec 2510a, liteon dvd-rom/cdrw, look @ my rig. And i have extended warranty on all that, with equates to 4 years on every part ecept the ram, which has a lifetime warranty. can you beat that?
