I just got a Dell XPS-M200S. It has 32mb of mems.

Can the it be upgaded to 128mb?

I dont' see why not

I might suggest you start by going to crucial.com and you can put your system in their "memory selector" and it will tell you if you can order more for your system from them

Yes, and 128MB is the max the chipset does.

Memory expansion capability is only 128Mb, owing to the limitations of the 430VX PCIset, and Dell has chosen to implement this with two 168-pin DIMM slots. On the plus side, the chipset does support SDRAM, which Dell chose to use in the form of a single 32Mb module.

So, you can add 64 to the second slot, and have 96, or buy a 128 module and dump the 32...
I think the VX only needs 66 Mhz SDRAM, which is probably impossible to find, so go for PC-100 or PC-133, which costs about the same.
