I have a dell Lattitude D600. Everything is great except for the display. I had selected the sxga+ lcd display for this 14.1 inch laptop. The native resolution is too damn small. 1400x1050

What if this laptop was dropped on accident that did damage to that display? Does anyone think they would be willing to change out the sxga+ for a standard xga? I know it wouldn't be anymore expensive and even if it was, I might be willing to pay depending on the price. I'm just not sure.

they would most likely just replace it with what you had. I had a D600 and thought the SXGA+ was a bit much, until i switched it with a XGA 1024x768...its really *huge* difference. I sold my laptop shortly after that.

My girlfriend has a gateway that accidently fell off a roof so she activated her accidental damage protection. They sent her an updated laptop that had better stats overall. BUT it had a defective screen so it went back. It has been 12months and they still tell her the order is in process. BS
