I don't like the whole sky blue thing though - they shoulda' kept the navy.

Everyday millions of people everyday use 15" monitors with 800x600 resolution. For only pennies a day you can help people who are suffering with 15" monitors and 800x600 resolution upgrade to a decent monitor. Please join us help stop the suffering of these people, you will feel better and even perhaps with your generous contribution of only pennies a day websites will start making web pages that are a decent size.

I can't believe they are still designing websites for people who can't get with it and get at least a 17".

Many more use 800x600 on even bigger monitors. People with poor eyesight and/or the elderly really dislike anything higher than that. Today I helped a client who insisted on 800x600 on a 21" monitor. I really wanted to jack it up but he's old and it was uncomfortable to read if it got any smaller. And he had relatively good vision.

So, yes, code for small resolutions. I prefer it and I use a high res mode, but, I like having other stuff open besides my web browser.

Note the 'largetext' link on the bottom, I think dell is catering to a larger audience now.

Yes and they did not tell us, I was at work today and was trying to tell a cust how to get to our downloads page and he was saying things like I dont see it anywhere.

So I went to the site and was like WTF.

BTW I do like it.

Yeah 800x600 on 21" monitors was common in my consulting days. Baby boomers are still dictating the market...and now they are almost blind amazing sites aren't coded to EGA specs.

8x6 on a 21" monitor is torture esp when their mouse is set to the slowest setting....

I gotta have 1600x1200 on a 19", I prefer higher on a 22", though I can accept 1600x1200, anything less is just annoying.
