Just bought a Dell Bluetooth mouse/keyboard set and LOVE it, EXCEPT:

I have a small problem that's driving me up the wall. If I don't interact with my mouse or keyboard for no more than 1-2 seconds (literally, 2 seconds max), the mouse is erratic for a second, and the keyboard is slow to deliver the typed keys to the computer. It's almost as if they aren't expecting me to use them or something.

I realize this may be related to a power save feature or something, but enabling just after a second or so? That's crazy.

I've tried the following:

- Installed the software from the Dell website
- Changed USB ports & location (now is located in the flat-panel monitor)
- Changed batteries

Also, I've checked the signal strength of both of the devices and according to the control panel, they are perfect?

Any ideas? Is there anything I can edit to increase the amount of time before they go into standby, or is this a completely problem altogether.

Thanks in advance!

BTW- I also have a Microsoft Bluetooth Intellimouse and it does not have this problem, so I am sure that this isn't just some "nature of the beast" problem with Bluetooth technology.

So helpful.

Anyways, OP, it sounds like it's either an issue with the set or it's just the way it was designed. I'd say give Dell a call and they'll either replace it right quick or let you return it.

Good luck. :)
