Woohoohohohohoho!! I finally did it! I finally bit the bullet and bought myself a smoking new laptop. Actually, I purchased two

First, the specs... Both lappies were identical, spec and price-wise:

I'm kind of dissapointed that it's only SXGA+ and not UXGA+ but oh well...
So the total for each was 1540 before the 150 dollar rebate (up to 5 per "household"

) so that's a grand total of 1390...
Granted, it's a bit stripped down, but the thing I can't get over is that I finally found a top-notch laptop at a low price with both a burner and a DVD-ROM!! That's what really sealed the deal for me.
The reason I bought two was because my zero-initial rate credit card isn't going to arrive for a couple weeks. So I first bought one with one of those wierd Dell Business payment options (because I am, after all, a "business") called a "Dell Account." Apparently, I'll be billed for it so hopefully by the time the bill arrives, my zero-rate card will be here. Then I can pay it off and get my lappie. But, just in case things don't work out (i.e. Dell has second thoughts about my "business"), I also bought it on my approx. 10% rate card... I hope to fleabay that sucker within a few weeks and make a few extra bucks....
Anyway, thanks to everyone who points out these awesome deals. I've been scouring this site for weeks trying to find a good laptop (kicked myself time and time again for missing out on the 8100 closeout... sigh, free 3-yr warranty

) and I finally got a laptop(s) that totally kick ass for a great value.
Last, but not least, the question remains:
What did Rossman get? And Rossman, buddy ol' pal, stop changing your icon so often.. I remember being able to find your posts easily by just looking for the very white-bread, clean-cut looking fellow. But now you're all over the place
