First off I wanted to get a Pocket PC PDA for sometime especially when I saw my friend with iPaq 3835 a few weeks back...
I got to experience all the things PPCs could do and thus started my quest for one!
I did much research, as I like to get the best possible thing!
And let me tell you this PPC so far based on facts is the best deal!
Many, many factors are considered...
For one Microsoft Pocket PC 2002 devices are better then Palm OS for a number of reasons...
Main reasons are: they are much faster, have more storage by default, very user friendly, many, many more applications (in addition via a small program you can run and Palm program on it!), many more accessories, dozens of major companies behind them including our friendly M$FT...
As for Dell Axim X5 400MHz over all devices?
Everyone acknowledges: Dell has done their homework in this field! Result? Dell Axim X5
I compared dimensions, weight, speed, battery, comparability (price was not on a leading deciding factor, value was) And value you get with Axim X5!
A few things worth noting: it's practically the same size and weight as iPaq 3835
Dell Axim X5 5.0 x 3.19 x 0.71 6.8 ounces
iPaq 3835 5.3 x 3.30 x 0.60 6.5 oz weight
But has many more options already build in, which would make iPaq much larger and heavier!
i.e. Axim accepts CF and SD cards!
Like CompactFlash Type II card, so you can get WiFi or 1GB card....
Anyway... trust me this is the device to get!
Even for $299 (price everyone can get) it's a great deal!
Thank you for telling me how to use both promotions, I'm very thankful!
I did it with my Chase StockBack card (1% cash back on everything and up to 25% back if shop with partnered merchants)
Dell is partnered for 3% and it's 2X (6%) during the holidays!
https://www.stockback.com/jsp/shop/shop.jsp
I recommend this card (MasterCard)...
So for Dell Axim X5 400MHz it's $284.10 - stockback% - $50MIR!

So it's $284.10 - stockback% - $50MIR!
What concerns me is:
"Offer may not be combinable with all other offers or discounts available from Dell Home Systems Co."
Phrase you will find in "Terms" at $50 .pdf MIR
page!
Nevertheless even for $284.10 it's an awesome deal for this great PDA (from what I have seen so far)!
Just a few questions:
Dose this one I got
link
come with a cradle?
Info on "CompactFlash Type II" and how they differ from regular "CompactFlash"?
Thank you!
