so continually dell says that amd doesn't have enough capacity to provide them with another processors. then lately it seems that amd is doing everything it can to increase production, by signing a deal with Chartered and having IBM producing processors as well. coincidentally, we now have rumors that amd is to supply dell with processors. coincidence?? your thoughts??
 
I just think that AMD's had it's sales jump up after people started switching from the Xeon to the much-cheaper Opteron. The A64's are also selling very well. (I have yet to meet anyone on the board who was a fan of Intel over AMD-so far, the only thing they best them in is mobile proccys, and AMD's catching up fast!)
 
I sincerely doubt we will see AMD cpu in Dells any time soon. Intel and Dell have been in bed together for a long time...Intel will have to fvck up at least moderately bad for another few years before Dell will consider breaking up that relationship. And while I'm no big fan of intel, I think they'll start to get their sh|t together for their next offering.
