Ok i'm thinking about getting a Dell 9200

http://www1.us.dell.com/content/product....aspx/inspn_9200?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs

it seems pretty good... this is what i'm getting

pentium M 1.6ghz
512mb ram (gonna add another 256 or 512 later)
80gb hdd
9700 128mb
17" widescreen xga
80 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion
Intergrated wifi b/g
remote control
dvd rom
bluetooth internal card

$1,474.50 w/ free shipping

I need a laptop for a trip this summer... gonna go to korea for a few weeks and i can't bring desktop, and i'm sure as hell not gonna not play games for 3 whole weeks!

i guess this'll suffice for cs:s and WoW fairly nicely.

plus i'm gonna buy as soon as i can find a stackable coupon so i may get this for nearly 1000 bucks.

right now i have a 25% coupon on and it'd be nearly 2k without it.

I have one with almost the same specs..
Go for it..
I really like mine and I use it everyday.

Dell always has coupons. I just bought a 9200 with the current 25% but I would wait if you don't need it yet.

Then the Dual Core Dothan will be out soon after that.

Then ________ (fill in the blank) will be out soon after that.

But then if you are a gamer, might as well wait for Half-Life 3, and Doom 4, since they will blow away what's out now.

Never buy something now, because you will have buyers remorse tomorrow when something better comes out.

Repeat as needed.

You might want to wait a bit since you have some time before you need it. With the new sonoma chips coming out, prices are going to drop on that rig.
I just bought an 8600 and I checked the price on the day mine shipped and there was a roughly a $250 price drop. I called Dell and they credited my account $200 if I kept the one on its way.
Dell is usually pretty good about giving you a better price if there is a big price drop between the time you order and the time they deliver. 🙂
