I recently upgraded to the Nvidia 6800 go from the Radeon X-300. I tried running some of my favorite games to test the card. When I ran Call Of Duty United Offensive it had some weird graphical glitches. Purple blocks would appear on certain textures along with some other graphical problems. I tried several different drivers, dells drivers, and 3 different forceware drivers I believe they were forceware 84.25, and im currently running 84.69. None of the drivers worked and I continue to have graphical glitches. I ran a demo of Doom 3 and it does the same thing. Sid Meires pirates would work for like the first 30 min, and then I would get the same prob, purple blocks and various graph glitches. I ran DXDIAG and everything works well, no problems. All drivers were installed/unistalled with ADD/REMOVE programs, as well as driver cleaner. Any Ideas on what the problem might be? possibly overheating? or could it just be a bad card?

system spec as follows

Inspiron 9300 BIOS ver. A05 Windows XP home edition 17" WUXGA with TrueLife, Dothan 1.6ghz to 2.13 ghz pin mod, Nvidia 6800 go 256 mb, 2GB DDR2 533 mhz, 60 GB 5,200 rpm, Audigy 2 ZS soundcard

That's the sign of a dying g/c.
My old Dimension 4700's Dell branded 6800 had died on me after a year or so of usage.
The card's warranty, unfortunately lasted as long as my system's warranty so I ended up eating the cost of the new replacement card.

I had a feeling thats what the problem was. I just bought the card from eBay and the guy gave me a 7 day warranty which I believe is already expired. The seller said the card was used but in working condition. I should have been more careful with my purchase. Thanks alot for your reply
