Dell 6000 memory question

Currently I have a 700m that has 2 gigs of DDR333 / PC2700 in it (I installed). I am trying to sell it with the maxed memory, but many people can not afford it. Or fail to realize what it is worth.

I also concede that most people would not max populate their laptops.

I am getting a Dell 6000, bigger and I think it will fit my needs with a laptop a bit better.

I understand the Dell 6000 uses DDR2 SoDimms (200 pin count?)

Can I use my old 200pin count memory in the Dell 6000? Either way I am going to max the memory out.

I understand that I can always depopulate and sell separate, but I am looking into just reusing my old memory (if possible).

No, you cannot use DDR SO-DIMM's in a DDR2 SO-DIMM slot. Sell the RAM separately if you must. Or take a hit, and sell it with the RAM. That RAM is only worth $220 new anyway, so you're probably overcharging.

Yea, I decided to sell the laptop separate from the memory.

I also decided, even if the memory would work, I would be unhappy with the performance (even if it was in my head). Just knowing that PC2700 in there, when it could handle (almost) PC4200 would make me change it.

Thanks for the response.

what type of memory did you put in the 700m, like what brand, how was it, i want to buy a gig stick for mine and am not sure if i should go with a more expensive brand (OCZ, corsair) or just get the cheaper ones. also would you sell 1 1gig stick?
