#1 Reason: They're either loss leaders or they're clearing 2% margins.
#2 Reason: You're not looking in the right place to buy parts. If you'd like me to show you what you SHOULD be paying, PM me.

Actually Dakata, I lied when I told AT I ordered 10. I ordered 20. They've just been morons the past 6 months and are getting around to it NOW.

It's supply chain management, economies of scale, JIT, and strategic partnerships.

Exactly. As a matter of fact, I am ATTEMPTING to fuffill Grand Nagus questions for this week b/c RossMAN is on vacation.

I just helped out kelvrick with a staples $40 off of $200 coupon a couple nights ago and i'm working on a pricematch with him.

I did alright. It was a real PITA to deal with them though.

What's even worse is PsychoAndy does all this massive bulk direct to you more or less as a job and I do it as a recreational hobby.

:D

Dell does (or did) have nice prices on decent systems, I bought a Dell Dimension 4500 simply because 1) I'm lazy, 2) it's fast enough and VERY quiet and purdy, 3) I'm lazy, 4) it was damn cheap after some finaggling and taking advantage of their pricing policy (if the price is lower within 30 days they'll refund you the difference) I got it for around $452, 5) I'm lazy do we see a re-occuring theme here?

P4 1.8
512MB RAM (128MB from Dell, bought another 2x256 for $30 each after rebate at BB B&M)
40GB HD
64MB GF2MX
16x DVD
24/10/40 CD-RW
Windows Home
No NIC/No Modem

Around $452 with free shipping after coupons, rebate AND jumping through a few hoops.
