Before I cancelled my 4150 order this morning I asked Dell CS would I have to pay shipping to send it back within 30 days? They said yes unless there was something wrong with the Dell system that's Dell's fault. I figure it's way to much hassle to try and sell it to someone else or risk selling it at a loss, so I was fortunately able to cancel my order before it was shipped. I think you can avoid paying the shipping back but you have to REFUSE SHIPMENT when it gets delivered then you pay nothing to ship it back.

I wonder when my 1500T will ship, time to create an AT Hot Deals thread about this.

The Presario 1500T in this case is a much better deal. The 16mb ATI on the 4150 is a joke. My 3 year old Inspiron 5000 had that. Was great back then but today it's pathetic.
The 1500T has the Radeon 7500 which is far superior. With that you'll be able to load up some 3d games and actually have them run! :p
Also the DVD in most cases will be better than the cdrw. Though tech support people like me need the cdrw so I got the dvd-cdrw combo on my 8100, but unless you have a need to write cd's in the field the dvd is a better choice.

Good luck with your 1500T! :)

Well I ordered at Staples B&M kiosk. I'm looking at my receipt right now and there is no estimated shipping date. Did you order online or at Staples B&M? If the latter where specifically on your receipt does it have a shipping date?

Do me a favor, try going here enter your order number and last name, does it find anything? Maybe that's not for Compaq BTO orders or we're checking too soon since it's only been 24 hours?

Ahh so it is. My mistake then.
Though 16mb isn't a lot. There are a number of games that will not run all too well on a 16mb vid card.

dc - I have an idea on how to get your local Staples to give you free shipping, PM me your zip code and your real first name.

dc - I got your PM with your zip code and I'm waiting for your reply to my question.

Check my sig, a brand new HP laptop with 14.1" XGA and DVD for $569 is an unheard of price!

Hehe I sense paranoia is about to sweet the AT/FW forums because the coupons on the HP are no longer valid on Staples.com

However our Compaq 1500T orders are safe because the $300 coupon was intended for BTO computers which is what we have.

Also do you guys think we'll be eligible for this $100 Staples MIR? They've always accepted copies of UPC's in the past and it says valid on any notebook purchase.

If they will accept it, this lowers my FINAL PRICE down to $837 with FREE SHIPPING and FREE WIFI!

RossMan,

I keep hearing you mention about the 1 FW but in the specs according to the Staples site it says:

Max. Expansion Slots 1 PCMCIA; 0 firewire

Am I missing something here?

According to the Compaq specs that dc posted (thanks :p ) it says:
Get greater performance from your peripherals with the Digital Video Port (IEEE 1394 port)

IEEE 1394 is the technical term for FireWire so I'm assuming that it does come with FireWire if it doesn't then I'm still keeping it.
