Dell 3100cn printer problem

I have a Dell 3100cn color laser printer, and it won't print black on the right side of the page. The rest of the document would print fine in both black and colored fonts, but there is one vertical line (about half an inch thick) across the page on the 1" right margin where black won't appear but color prints fine...

What gives?
 
have you check the properties of the printer and see if you find a setting to change? One thing to try is to unplug power and USB and delete drivers. Wait like a minute power on, let it power on to ready and plug usb back in and let it reinstall.
