Lately I'm seriously thinking of investing on this huge panel but I haven't found any decent reviews on it.
I'm mostly concerned about backlight noise, connectivity and scaling issues..

Does anybody have any good review of it so I can check it out?
Thanks in advance

P.S : Any feedback from an owner of this monitor would be greatly appreciated. It is good to have an idea of the pros and cons of such a monitor..

*edit Also if anyone has heard of anything better coming in the next few months in similar size I would love to know it..

From what I've heard, the 3007FPW is a great panel, and at its 1300 USD price tag, fairly cheap too. If I had 1300 dollars and desk space for it, I'd buy it.

As it stands, I have to make do with my tiny 2005FPW, though I do plan on bumping up to a 24in panel of some sort after I do a major desktop revamp. Need to make sure I can play games reliably at 1920x1200, so I'll be waiting until the refresh of the R600s ands G80s.

I have a 3007WFP.

There is only one dual link DVI connection. Thats it.

It has no OSD. All adjustments to color, gamma, contrast, can only be adjusted via a Windows control panel. The only adjustment you can make on the display itself is the brightness level.

The monitor automatically scales all input to screen size and stretches everything to 16:10 aspect ratio. There is no way to change this other than through using GPU scaling options.

I cannot hear any backlight noise.

No noticible ghosting in games.

Review:

Samsung is releasing a new 30" lcd soon called the 305T priced as $1999 MSRP.

My Take:
3007WFP is an excellent PC monitor. Lack of inputs and monitor controlled color, gamma, contrast, etc settings make this a poor choice for use as a HD screen for TV, Xbox360,PS3, etc.

The Samsung looks pretty dang good. It has better specs than the Dell or Apple.

Thanks m8. Indeed the lack of inputs is a major problem.. I might want to hold for a while to see what this Samsung has to offer.. I see another dual link DVI in it.. That's good

Yeah that's a key prerequisite if you are to go that high in resolution..

I just picked one up.

great picture, loads of desktop space.

I run a 7950 GX2 it does ok in games at the native res.

I will be upgrading when the 8800gtx comes out.

Funny is I came from a 2405wfp then to the 3007 but wish it was larger :)
