I'm in the process of upgrading my monitor and was looking at the dell lineup.

What I'll be plugging into it:

-Computer (DVI or maybe DisplayPort soon)
-PS3 (HDMI)
-Wii? (Composite)

The PS3 is the biggest factor for me really because I know PC gaming will look fine on any upper level dell. I want it to look good on one of these monitors but I have no idea how it will actually look vs. a LCD or Plasma tv. Maybe looking for that option is a waste of time because it just won't look good enough? Dunno. Let me know.

Merry Christmas too

I have 2707, should be more-or-less same panel and I must be blind or retarted or something ... I don't see that input lag although I play numerous FPS games.

For Wii you'd want the component (480P)

27" beats 24" in ease of everyday use, unless you love your pixels small.

2707 has ~45ms of input lag. It's relatively high. I've measured before. A lot of people won't really care about it for gaming. I'm not that picky of a guy so for me it's fine. But if oyu're a stickler about it and you're the same guy who says WTF 20ms ping vs 10ms ping, you'll probably notice the input lag.

Yeah input lag isn't that significant of an issue for me. Larger pixels vs. smaller isn't that serious of a question either. I'm not all that picky.

One generally hears that the 2410 is one of if not the best monitor around, I wonder if that would be true for console gaming too? I guess the real question is does the 2709 justify the higher price tag or should I just stick with the 2410?

Make sure the screen supports 1:1 pixel mapping, or your PS3 games will be stretched vertically from 1080 to 1200. My Dell 2407WFP didn't, but I know some Dell LCDs do.
