Yeah, the LCD20WGX2 looks pretty awesome... LGP does supposedly have a 23" version of their new IPS LCD they use in the NEC 20". I can't wait to see the 23", as I have been holding off for the 2407. I'm not sure I can justify getting the 2407 anymore, though, since these new IPS LCDs seem to be better in almost every way. At least, according to what I'm reading on the net.

HERE.. You can probably get it cheaper, This site has the full specs..

BTW it is DPC.

i take it we have to buy the speaker version here... no wonder i didn't find it. that and damn that's expensive 🙁 So close to dell's 24" widescreener.

A pretty long time ago we were talking about dell's upcoming monitors couple people from dell said that a 2007FPW, 2407FPW, and 3007FPW will be coming out of course they wanted to get the 3007FPW out because they didnt have a 30in yet as for the 2007 and 2407 they should just have better specs ms times and hdcp(there's no way people are going to buy new monitors to run vista) there going to release something.

Well, I haven't given up and gone out to buy anything else, but the excitement has surely died.

First we hear Feb. 24 -> but NOTHING.
Then we hear March 4 - 12 -> again NOTHING.

Now it's the 16th.

By the time this thing actually comes out, we'll be like, Dell Who?

Besides, if HDCP and a lighter weight are the main changes, it's not really all that impressive (compared to the 2405).

gimme!

That's definitely the monitor I will be purchasing when it finally comes out in US.
Based on the 2405 dimensions, it will fit perfectly in my computer desk, and I think the 30" is too big when sitting 1-2' away from the monitor. 24" is perfect for me!

the 2407 is HDCP compliant...i'm just hoping this HDCP thing doesn't get as out of control as it already seems to be...i understand studios want content protection, but SERIOUSLY, after this NONSENSE with video cards advertising HDCP compliance yet NOT REALLY BEING COMPLIANT on the "board level", it makes your head spin...

HDCP was one reason i was waiting to drop $$$ on a new monitir to "future proof" it somewhat, and i know i'm gonna have to get a new vid card, but now when are the video cards going to have all the keys pre-installed?

all this lack-of-info from GPU companies and Dell is getting tiring...

and expecting people to mass-update to watch hd video at native resolutions is unrealistic...

Not to get off topic, but I would tend to agree with you on this one. I don't see the masses spending a lot just to be compliant with HDCP -- at least not instantly. We'll see what happens.

Back on the 2407, I just read about a possible release date of April 6th on another forum. Gotta love the plethora of possible release dates.
