With all the good reports I've read on the 2405FPW 24" I'm ready to ditch my Sony 21" G520 CRT and go for a LCD as my main screen for gaming and such.

What I'm not sure about is the response time quoted on Dells Australian website, it says that the response time is 16ms Link where the American website says it runs at 12ms, can anyone clear up the confusion?

Also any peeps from Australia bought this monitor from dell in oz? if so what are they like to deal with as I'm not sure how they'll be with service / replacement and are they shipped from Australia or overseas???

I've never actually dealt with Dell, but my dad has a dell laptop, and he's had no problem with them (btw, I live in Perth).

From what i've heard of that monitor, that is a 16ms monitor - with great brightness and contrast.

I have a 2405 and it is lovely. No dead pixels and great resoutions. I have no ghosting in my gaming so far. Half-Life 2 and Dungeon Siege 2 and Unreal Tournament 2004 so far. I did notice some banding with HD content but that could be the content itself so I can't tell you beyond that. It is a great monitor though and I have no regrets!
