Here are some more detailed specs.
I can't find the PDF spec sheet on this monitor like the 2007fpw has. That is the only place that mentioned HDCP capabilities on the 2007, would anyone know if this is confirmed to have HDCP via the DVI port?

It is HDCP compliant. I'm perfectly happy with my 2405fpw for now.

Either way this is a great deal considering Costco's return policy.

Exactly what I was thinking. Return in 2 years or so for a upgrade to something better.

Are we sure that their return policy applies here, ive heard that PCs and components were explicitly excluded as part of the policy. Pleas advise, im so itching to get one right now.

with that price.. why don't you just get two 19" monitors. =/ ]

but its still a good deal for 24"

Actually for that price you could get two 20" LCDs and in some cases 3 19". However, for some the ability to view 1920x1080 content without scaling is something they'd like to have, as is having a single very large monitor versus multiple smaller ones.

This is a hot deal because of their stellar return policy.

The backlight issues are supposed to be horrible on a number of them.

Well just ordered, thnx op!

The mult monitor comparison is silly... does 2x 27in tv beat a 42in widescreen? Hells no.

the computer monitors do not fall under the 'computer' warranty of 6 months
the unlimited warranty would apply in this case

now if i can only put my 2405 into the 2407 box and return it ill be set lol

have these been lower on Dells' website with the stacking coupon routine?? curious
Dell had a 25% off coupon from their $950 price = $712.50 plus shipping and tax. That offered expired June 6. So the Costco price (with shipping included) is a tad more but Costco has a better and more convenient return policy.

does anyone know if the 2407 is compatible (will display at full resolution) with the GeForce 6800 128mb cards? my initial impression is that they won't display correctly, but i could be wrong...

It should be fine, through either VGA or DVI (I'd recommend DVI though). It won't be powerful enough to really push games at that resolution, but it won't have any problems just displaying it.

You don't want either monitor. They all suck in terms of image quality. If you think Dell's monitors are actually good, you need to get your eyes checked. Either that or you have never used a truly GOOD panel.
