Is this the best monitor I'm gona find for < $300? Does anyone know when the prices for 24" monitors are expected to come down? Seems they cant stay at almost TWICE 22" for too long...

I just bought this monitor and love it. Not one dead pixel, very bright and speed seems to be very good. No complaints at all. You can get cheaper, but for the price better? I don't think so.


P.S.- three year replacement warranty. If it dies Dell will advance ship a replacement usually overnight. That is worth something right there.

I'm no monitor expert so I won't try to evaluate your choice, but I would like to point out that the 22" and 24" monitors currently on the market use different panels. This is the primary reason for the cost difference and not the size.

Here's a link to a previous post where I detailed my understanding of this. That thread also has a link to an excellent Anandtech thread regarding monitors if you have a couple hours to read through all the info. 🙂
