I got a 2208WFP a few months ago for $200 shipped. Now they are $250 + shipping!? What happened? Is there anywhere to get this quality monitor for around 200 shipped these days?

read up on the dell 2209wa.
also, you can get that monitor in a dell deal with a e7400 based computer for <$450.
I think there's even a link where without an OS, adding the e2208wfp for $105 makes it only $370.
 
Why did they change from wfp to wa? Also, that seems to be $299. And isn't the E2208wfp different than just the 2208wfp? I know the "S" series are the bad ones, but I thought the "good" ones started with no letters?
 
Isn't 2208wfp still a tn? If you go to slickdeals, you can find info on how to find the 2209wa for ~$200. It's a e-ips panel too.
 
Oh yea, now that I look it is a TN! I thought the "Ultrasharp" series was the ips? Guess I was wrong. It stinks that the 2209wa doesn't have USB ports.. but it looks like it still has the good stand (height adjustable, tilt, swivel) that the 2208wfp has.
