Hey ebeattie, you got a great system and a super video card. The 24-inch is the monitor to complement all this. Why compromise on the only part of the system that you actually see?

I draw a parallel with speakers and audio systems. Too many times, I have seen people buy a high-quality pre-amp/amp, but when it comes to matching this with worthy speakers, they settle for less than they should because very good speakers are very expensive. They end up with an unbalanced system

There is no place-holder part in your system. Why buy a place-holder monitor? Your 8800GTX deserves a 24-inch monitor. If you buy the 22-inch, it won't be long before you start looking at the 24-inch again, because you won't be fully satisfied.

Not to say the 22-inch would not be adequate for someone will a lesser system.

You just have to wait fot the Dell 24-inch to go on sale and then... :gift:

I have a TN, I loved it in the beginning but now I almost cant stand it

The 22" LCD's should be fine for gaming with respectable response times less than 25ms at worst

response time for the 22" model is 5ms. I just checked it at dell website

I have this Dell monitor but i observed something rather strange.

If you look close, especially in WOW u can actually see little points, like noise above the picture, so the picture is not smooth as it should be, i guess. But only if you look really really close, still it s deranging.

does anybody else noticed this kinda things, or is something wrong with my LCD?

also, i read that, this 22 inch monitor does Upscaling from the 19inch once, maybe that s why little point like noise kinda pixels are visible from close range? i use Digital output connection. the image is vivid enough, this is the only problem i have with this monitor.
